Practice Billing Policy

Grace Medical Skin and Vein Centre is a private billing practice.

All billing is at the doctor’s discretion with consideration of bulk billing patients who permanent patients of the practice and hold a current concession card, Veteran’s card, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, patients with a chronic disease who are on a care plan and for children under the age of 16. All non-permanent and visiting patients are charged at a casual rate.

Our practice fees are periodically reviewed in clinical meetings and updated if changes occur. The fee’s are displayed in our patient waiting rooms and available on the website within our practice information (please note that changes may occur prior to updates been completed on the website). GP’s and reception advise our patients of the expected costs associated with their care and their out-of-pocket costs.

All consultations are to be paid for at the time of the patient’s consultation.

Costs may include the following:

  • Brief, standard and longer consultations
  • Late or missed appointments
  • Procedures
  • Medical Check ups
  • Care outside our practice’s normal opening hours.
  • Excisions
  • Sutures
  • Mirena/Implanon insertion
  • Commercial Drivers Licence Medical Check up
  • Occupational Health checks and investigations including ECG,
  • Spirometry  
  • Health Check-ups for Insurance
  • Medical Reports
  • Whole body skin Checks

Scheduled home visits are available only for permanent patients belonging to the practice according to the discretion of the treating doctor.

After-hours consultations by the doctors at Grace Medical Skin and Vein Centre attract a standard minimum fee of $500.
